Jeff Bezos details his moon colony ambitions Speaking at the Space Development conference in Los Angeles, Bezos said he's hoping to partner with NASA and other agencies (though his company Blue Origin will go it alone if necessary) to turn the moon into a center for heavy industry. "In the not-too-distant future — I'm talking decades, maybe 100 years, it'll start to be easier to do a lot of the things that we currently do on Earth in space, because we'll have so much energy," he said. "We will have to leave this planet. We're going to leave it, and it's going to make this planet better." 2. 'The Expanse' finds a new home on Amazon Prime Bezos is also supporting fictional space voyages. He announced that Amazon will be picking up The Expanse after the series (based on the books by James S.A. Corey) was dropped by Syfy. 3. Pandora now offers a Premium Family plan for $14.99 a month For $14.99 a month, up to six users can access Premium features (the individual version costs $9.99 a month). This better positions Pandora to compete with Spotify Premium and Apple Music, which both offer similar family plans. 4. Vermont passes first law to crack down on data brokers Data brokers in Vermont will now have to register as such with the state, take standard security measures and notify authorities of security breaches. And now using their data for criminal purposes like fraud is its own actionable offense. 5. Grab launches a food delivery service in Southeast Asia The service was already available in beta in a handful of countries, including Thailand, but now it is available in Singapore (Grab HQ) with plans to reach Grab's core six markets in Southeast Asia in the coming months. 7. Amazon leads $12M investment in India-based digital insurance startup Acko Acko was founded in late 2016 by Varun Dua, one of the co-founders of insurance comparison site Coverfox.
