AT&T confirms it is buying ad platform AppNexus, reportedly for between $1.6B-$2B You may not find the adtech business all that exciting, but AT&T feels differently — as do other mobile carriers, like our parent company Verizon. AppNexus describes itself as the world's largest independent digital ad exchange. AT&T isn't revealing any of the financial terms, but last week's reports about acquisition discussions pegged the price at around $1.6 billion. 2.
